Ahrar center for Prisoners studies and human rights said today that the Israeli occupation is still holding in the prisons five female prisoners without trial.
They are: prisoner Ayat Yousef Mahfoth from Hebron city, who was arrested on 4/2/2013, prisoner Nawal Sa’ed Asa’di from Jenin city, who was arrested on 5/11/2012, she is the wife of the liberated captive leader Bassam Asa’di.
Muna Hussein Qa’dan from Arrabah town near Jenin city who was arrested on 13/11/2012, she is the sister of the hunger striker prisoner Tariq Qa’dan and the fiancé of prisoner Ibrahim Gbarieh, prisoner Intisar Alsayyed from Jerusalem city who was arrested on 22/11/2012 and prisoner Alaa Qasem Abu Zayton from Nablus city who was arrested on 9/2/2013.
For his part Fuad Al-Khuffash, the director of Ahrar center for prisoners studies and human rights, said that the Israeli occupation deliberately postpones the trial of these prisoners, to put pressure on them calling for the need to pay attention to the seriousness of the situation faced by all Palestinian prisoners, inside the Israeli jails.
Al-Khuffash, said that the number of Palestinian female prisoners inside Israeli jails are 12 captives, including captive Lena Jerboni, the oldest Palestinian female prisoner, who suffers several diseases, and needs treatment.
